about us

birrofila triestinaThe Associazione Birrofila Triestina was born in 2001 from the passion of some collectioners of beer-related items. It is a cultural independent association, non-politically and non profit driven, whose mission is:
  • to promote the diffusion of culture and information related with beer.
  • to safeguard the historical patrimony and traditions, especially related to the territory and province of Trieste but also of the traditional regional breweries.
The Association pursues such scope through:
  • gathering, processing, filing, exposing and arranging for members and sympathizers documents and goods related to beer.
  • exhibitions organization;
  • research, census, comparison, filing and tasting of the various types of beer;
  • promotion, organization and coordination of meetings and periodical debates, also open to general public;
  • organization and carrying out of visits and excursions concerning the subject matter.

The Association particularly quests for stuff regarding the DREHER brewery. Glasses, Stiefel, glass coasters, dishes, trays, documents, images, tables and whatever object related with our old brewery. We also look for people who have been working at the brewery and gather any useful information. The Association needs the help of sponsors to maintain its structures and be able to propose initiatives such as excursions, tastings, dinners, courses, etc.. so we invite all friends and sympathizers to become members or to contribute for the aquisition of objects related to Dreher or for the maintanance of the existing patrimony.
