The story of the Dreher brewery in Italy starts in Trieste back in 1869 when the young Anton Dreher takes over the plant named ..."Prima fabbrica di birra in Trieste" operating since 1865, from the owners, the Morpurgo family. Since then the Triestino beer industry experienced a strong production increase reaching important targets up to becoming one of the biggest and most known beer industries. In 1929 the brewery passes in the hands of the Luciani family, owners of the Pedavena. With them, among ups and downs, the Dreher beer becomes the top seller, the most exported and known Italian beer ! After that the decline, at the end of the sixties, to the final closing in 1976. In our museum, unique in Italy, are exposed various private collections. The most important belongs to Antonio Cannavò. It consists of objects, pictures and clothes used by the same Antonio during his working years at the Dreher brewery. We warmly thank his son Alessandro for allowing us to expose all these objects. Those who lived the working experience at the factory or at the beer-cave and visit our exhibition cannot but remember the hard and difficult times but also the satisfactory and convivial moments with the friends and colleagues, the parties and so many happy events that went on during the years of the historical triestino brewery ! You will find here images, objects, advertising items (posters, billboards, depliants, etc...) from the nineteenth century until 1976. A unique exhibition that cannot be missed ! A warm thanks to the following contributors: Paolo Le Rose, Furio Gabadi, Ezio Trani, Bruno Giurco, Stefano Concina and Mr. Mario from the buffet Impero. Our thankings also to Luciano Basiaco, Bruno Biloslavo, Fabio Bucci, Bruno Giurco, Furio Gabadi, Ezio Trani and Roberto Volini.
